Types of Buying Rates in Foreign Exchange Markets

In a purchase transaction the bank acquires foreign exchange from the customer and pays him in Indian rupees. Some of the purchase transactions result in the bank acquiring foreign exchange immediately, while some involve delay in the acquisition of foreign exchange. For instance, if the bank pays a demand drawn on it by its correspondent bank, there is no delay because the foreign corresponded bank would already have credited the nostro account of the paying bank while issuing the demand draft. On the other hand, if the bank purchases on “On demand” bill from the customer, it has first to be sent to the draws place for collection. The bill will be sent to the correspondent bank for collection. The correspondent bank will present the bill to the drawee. Balanced Mutual Funds

Mutual funds that invest both in debt and equity markets are called balanced mutual funds or simply balanced fund. A typical balanced fund would be almost equally invested in both the markets. The variations are equity funds that invest predominantly in equity (about 70%) and keep a smaller part of their portfolios in debt securities. These funds seek to enhance the income potential of their equity component, by bringing in debt. Similarly, there are predominantly debt funds (over 70% in debt securities) which invest in equity, to provide some growth potential to their funds. A balanced fund also tends to provide investors exposure to both equity and debt markets in one product. Therefore, the benefits of investment diversification get further enhanced as equity and debt markets have different risk and return profiles.

Data Analysis in Research Methodology

After data are obtained are obtained through questionnaire, interviews, observation or through secondary sources, they need to be edited. The blank responses, if any, have to be handled in some way, the data coded, and categorizing scheme has to be set up. The data will then have to be keyed in, and some software program used to analyze them. Editing Data have to be edited, especially when they relate to responses to open-ended questions of interviews and questionnaires, or unstructured observations. In other words, information that may have been noted down by the interviewer, observer, or researcher in a hurry must be clearly deciphered so that it may be coded systematically in its entirety.
